The gym refurbishments will start taking place in July 2023.

The gym refurbishments will start taking place in 2023 with the first beginning in May.

The Shadow XD range creates a premium engineered feel from usability to design detail to an already versatile and effective system. Designed and manufactured in-house, the Shadow XD range uses enhanced material specifications to increase product longevity and fine-tune training possibilities.

The most significant change is the combination of the 70x70x3mm leg section profile using stainless steel to increases strength and resilience delivering a high-end finish. The new legs also feature numbered micro adjustment hole spacing, allowing for better specificity of attachment heights. All attachments are constructed with protective elements to ensure there is no metal-on-metal contact during training. This reduces excessive wear and tear and guarantees structural integrity is maintained or years to come.

Shadow XD were the chosen lifting racks at Third Space Moorgate

The design brief from Third Space Fitness Director Rob Beale was clear. They wanted Power Racks and Half Racks with broad functionality, micro-adjustments and both attachments and accessories that store on the rack systems that would complement a premium Third Space club environment and experience.

We delivered with Shadow XD Full Racks and Half Racks creating the ultimate strength area that offers a premium engineered feel to members and PT’s when using the equipment.

Stainless Steel Construction

The Shadow XD legs are entirely constructed from 304 stainless steel 70x70x3mm Section & 6mm plate meaning increased performance, strength and durability with a high quality finish to match.

Miro Adjust Hole Spacing/Numbers

The Shadow XD utility legs also feature micro-adjustment or “Westside” hole spacing. This finer adjustment option spaces the functional holes at 25mm apart rather than the usual 50mm allowing users to fine tune any attachment position.

Customisable

All racks in the Shadow XD range can be configured to optimise any training approach or space. There are also multiple areas that personal or professional branding can be applied. Choose from a wide range of colours and finishes, and complete the personalised look with a laser cut frame logo.

Surrey Sports Park is a world class health and fitness facility, offering sport for all and is located on University of Surrey campus.

Indigo worked on this project from conception to capture the desired training outcomes for students and members to design the right functional outdoor training space.

“The Rig” is now officially open showcasing a shipping container complete with RAZE training equipment stored inside and a RAZE functional outdoor rig with guaranteed all-weather durability. Everything was designed and manufactured in Britain, and Indigo also installed on-site.

Surrey Sports Park have already launched 3x classes to maximise member experience. These include conditioning, strength and hybrid classes that completely utilise the space and equipment included.

Indigo S&C shelters have now been installed across numerous prestigious Army Training sites. The British army has a requirement to create semi-permanent physical training infrastructure outside of traditional gym buildings to increase capacity but also deliver enhanced functionality as training requirements have evolved over recent years with a shift towards S&C.

The RAPTC project focussed on creating a multipurpose functional training space equipped with everything needed to facilitate training and specialist army assessments. We used a shelter to create an open, spacious, and, most importantly, multipurpose training space. The canopy of the shelter is load-bearing, facilitating additional equipment when needed. Each open end of the structure is equipped with powered net doors, allowing airflow while protecting users from the elements.

The BAWF competition is a military physical fitness competition that supports and encourages military fitness training in accordance with AGAI Physical Training. It is designed to incorporate varied exercises which all have relevance to the Army Physical Training System. The aim is to find the “Fittest in the Army” in each category stated below.

The finals were held at one of the strength and conditioning shelters Indigo created for the Army School of Physical Training

Staff Sergeant and Indigo Athlete Charlotte Spence and Staff Sergeant Alex Rees have earned the right to proudly call themselves the British Army’s fittest soldiers for 2022 season. They have gone further, faster, higher and longer than any other soldier in this year’s BAWFF challenge.

It was a pleasure to watch the finals – take a look at the workouts from the day.

Charlotte is a serving Staff Sergeant within the Royal Army Physical Training Corps (RAPTC) and a CrossFit Games (Team) Athlete. We met Charlotte at the British Army Warrior Fitness (BAWF) finals this year which Charlotte has won individually for the past two consecutive years. With Charlotte’s military standing being recognised by CrossFit, she has also achieved the title of Fittest Military Female in the world.

IndigoFitness are the only UK manufacturer of physical training equipment supplying the UK Ministry of Defence. Indigo installed Strength & Conditioning Shelters across a number of prestigious Army Training sites including Charlotte’s base, the Army School of Physical Training in 2022. We are proud to be the Strength and Conditioning specialists for the MOD and provide an effective training environment for Charlotte to be a world class Athlete.

Charlotte will hit 2023 running having qualified to compete at TYR Wodapalooza. Wodapalooza is now a calendar staple as the world’s premier Functional Fitness Festival hosted in Miami.  Taking place across 4 days from January 12 thousands of athletes, spectators and volunteers will soon reunite to compete and celebrate fitness and community. Charlotte has qualified in the Elite Teams category part of team Hybryd. The “Elite/RX” Team of 3 division is designed for the best of the best. Team Hybryd is made up of 3 females athletes, Helena Collins, Charlotte Spence and Maddy Harris who are all CrossFit Games athletes. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Charlotte and the team and they will be competing against CrossFit Games podium athletes including Annie Thorisdottir, Mal O’Brien and Laura Horvath. We can’t wait to catch up with the ladies ahead of the event and behind the scenes of such a high-profile competition.

The AFC Harrogate Boxing Competition is one of the most prestigious events in the College calendar where the boxers display the core values and standards which underpin the Army’s ethos. 

The AFC trains junior soldiers male and female and is the only Junior Entry Phase 1 training establishment in the British Army. The College plays a vital role in providing the basic military training and developing future leadership. It offers a mix of military training, personal development, and education for under 19s that provides them skills to succeed in the Armed Forces, and their lives beyond the military.
